Adrián Llaguno es arquitecto por el Tecnológico de Monterrey. Ha trabajado en despachos como OAB, Landa Arquitectos, WRKSHP y Oficio Taller. Desde muy temprano, desarrolló un gran interés por documentar la arquitectura. Eventualmente este interés lo llevó a juntar su pasión por la arquitectura con su formación profesional. En 2009 funda Documentación Arquitectónica.
Desde el inicio de su interés como fotógrafo de arquitectura, le interesó capturar la arquitectura y sus elementos de una manera fiel y honesta. Busca capturar la esencia de los espacios, transmitir sus emociones, la relación entre sus elementos, muros, planos, luz, sombra, texturas, contexto y escala. Es una tarea casi imposible, pero la exploración de esta idea es lo que lo lleva a constantemente mejorar su técnica e innovar su trabajo. El resultado final es una serie de imágenes que describen a un proyecto arquitectónico de una forma directa, honesta y estética, mostrando lo mejor del edificio sin dejar nada detrás.
Ha sido invitado a colaborar en la exposición “Arquitectura en Proceso” de Mario Pani en el Museo Marco de Monterrey. Ha trabajado con diferentes despachos internacionales como Moneo-Brock, Tatiana Bilbao, Miró Rivera y Raymond Jungles Inc. Ha trabajado también con despachos mexicanos como Landa + Martínez, Oficio Taller, Rojkind Arquitectos entre otros. Su trabajo ha sido publicado en Libros, revistas y publicaciones digitales como Architectural Record, Architecture Digest, Deezen, Domus, Archdaily etc.
Adrian Llaguno got his Bachelor degree in Architecture at ITESM (Monterrey Institute of Technology) in 2010. He had worked for several architecture firms such as OAB in Barcelona, Landa Arquitectos in Monterrey, Taller Oficio and WRKSHP. Early during his studies he developed a strong interest at documenting architecture. Eventually this interest made him merge his passion for photography with architecture. In 2009 he founded “Documentación Arquitectónica.”
Since the start of his photographic interest in architecture he has been drawn by capturing architecture and its elements in a true and honest way. He searches to capture the essence of space and transmitting its emotions, the relationship between its elements, walls, planes, light, shadow, texture, context and scale. It’s an almost an impossible task, but the exploration of this idea is what drives Adrian to constantly improve his technique and innovate his work. The end result is a series of images that describe an architectural project in a direct, honest and esthetically pleasing way, showing the best of what the building can be, leaving nothing behind.
He has been invited to collaborate on the exposition “Arquitectura en Processo” with Museo Marco in Monterrey.
He has worked for several internationally renowned studios like Moneo-Brock, Tatiana Bilbao, Miró Rivera, and Raymond Jungles Inc. He has work as well with many Mexican based architecture firms such as: Landa Arquitectos, Rojkind Arquitectos, Taller Oficio amongst others. His work has been published in places like Architectural Record, Architecture Digest, Deezen, Domus, Archdaily and a few others publications.
